Wired Dare # 2

Well, I got home from work not two hours ago, took the photos about an hour and a half ago, and here it is - my LO for this week's Dare at No. 8 Wired . Not a masterpiece but OK.

Oh, and another "YOU DID WHAT!?" - I actually did use Basic Grey - so there you go Jan and Lucy!

Holiday news coming tomorrow!

Thursday, July 20, 2006

We're all going on a summer holiday.

Yea, right.
It's that cold this winter here that we are staying in a cabin instead of our tent. Unusual for us. But then, we ARE going to the city scrap-shopping and not tramping or anything........

Just did not get my 'Virgin On .... ' layout done. Three days of teaching "challenging" adolescents stole all my mojo. Maybe when I get back.

In the meantime, here's a photo to ponder on.

See you on Sunday.

Generous

Scrappers are such nice people.

You know who you are .... yes, you, you out there who knows what arrived in my mailbox and on my back doorstep today.

You can be sure that I truely truely appreciate your generosity and wish there was something as excellent that I could do in return .... but as I can't .... I'll play it forward you can be sure. After all, that's the 'circle of life' in the scrapping world.

Photo of the Day

Climbing - almost as addictive as scrapping. Wish I had more time for both. However the number of things I'm trying to fit into my life is more than 'Virgin on Ridiculous' ....... and hopefully I'll even get/find/make time to scrap about it before Wednesday ..........

In the meantime, I just want to get my side bar back from where it's slunk off to way down the bottom there .......

Just for Lucy

.. and the almost nearly six year old birthday girl.

Here's my pink, purple and yellow with flowers and corners.

They challenged me, so I did it ..... turned out pretty well too I think - for me, making a girlie LO.

Look at my cute boy in the photo on the right -- the little darling blinks when the flash goes off. (Just like his mummy.) We've so many photos of him looking like this!!

Definately wasn't a little darling this morning when him and his sister were racing round the house like mad things. Nearly 40 kgs of dog thumping around the house and fighting with each other does NOT make for a peaceful start to the day.

I'll blame it on the rain.

Soooooo .....

can anyone make comments yet???

Who's afraid of the big bad thunder??

Two true little scaredy dogs is who!! Normally I have one shadow dog devotedly following me around the house, and little Miss 'I'll do my own thing, thanks'is off --- doing her own thing. However ....

this afternoon we had an hour of pretty much continuous rolling thunder and I had two grey shapes hiding under the computer, or squealing when I stood on their paw because they were walking too close to me on our way to the scraproom --- our hall really isn't wide enough for a human with a dog on each side.

And now the little Miss is sleeping under the table in Ruger's normal spot --- I wonder how THAT happened ......

You can tell it's her by the toenails......

So does this link thing work ....

..... Here is a Blue Heeler site Cattle Dogs .... I hope!

Thanks to Nic.

And here are her directions - in case I forget them by tomorrow.

write your word
highlight it.
go to the green blob in your menuey toolbar thing.
click on that.
paste in the link.
press ok and it will hyperlink the word you highlighted

My current favourite photo of Ruger - and yes he is eating a Spongebob dairy food.

A lovely bunch of .....

...... well, lets just see what Nic Howard's builder's wife mind makes of that title.

(And if I was clever I would link you right to her blog, but alas, Tania or Andrea can teach me that tomorrow).

I've no funny stories to report from Ruger and Neve today - mostly because I haven't been here all day, due to that darn work. I will really post a picture of them soon. Hopefully I will be here the next few days to add lots of pictures and learn more about how this blog works.

Instead today here is my arty picture of a katabatic wind we have here.

This was part of the view from my work this morning. Now there was some reason for the title.... but I've quite forgotten while trying to figure out how to do photos and hyperlinks.

Ah, that was it! What a lovely bunch of friends you will find in the blogs linked to the side here now.

Two True Blues

Here we go - My second attempt at creating a blog. Hopefully this will have a longer life span than my first attempt - which appears to have lasted two days. This one should be more interesting as it's not just about me. I've called it Two True Blues because I intend to mostly show photos and LOs and record the antics of our two Blue Heeler dogs. Heck, they're way funnier than me, so that should make for some interesting reading. So for those who don't know they are called Ruger and Neve. And other than them, our household is me - that's Annie - and my DH - otherwise known as PB - and the cat. I'll try to get a photo up in the next few days so you can see what all my little darlings look like.
